Cream with Cream 100 Count Khadi Cotton Jamdani Saree
Intricate workmanship is on display in this airy cream khadi Jamdani saree with cream floral pattern floating on an off white base. There is a fine gold zari selvedge which adds to it’s delicate charm.
Since the defining aspect of this textile are its rich motifs, all intricately added by hand, Jamdani is touted as one of the most advanced hand weaving techniques in the world.
Each motif has to be inlaid into the fabric by adding denser threads to fine warp threads. This process is so time- and labor -intensive that it takes about 8-12 weeks for two weavers to produce a saree of an intricate pattern.
Dhakai Jamdani prices are related to the thread quality used .Most exclusive cotton sarees are woven in 80-100 count threads which result in a very fine quality , light weight and exclusive Dhakai Jamdani saree.
